We loved the modern styling of the room - big flat screen tv, great Internet connection, triple spray shower and the soft bed. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly. All in all a great stay.

The rooms were very well designed and decorated. It's obviously very new and right up to date with contemporary wall coverings and free wifi in the rooms. The bed was superbly comfortable and the safe bed was very easy to use and comfy too.
The room was slightly too small to have the sofa as a bed and be able to move around it freely. Only a shower for the kids. It's a very long way to La Rochelle's marina and taxi's are few and few between.

The hotel was brand new when we arrived, we could still smell the polish everywhere. Our room was fancy, nice and stylish, especially the bathroom. Location some 10 mins walk to the beach and harbour. Quiet location.
As the hotel just opened the staff made quite inexperienced impression (which was especially remarkable during breakfast when they didn't quite manage to supply the missing food). The centre of La Rochelle is some 10mins walk to the harbour plus additional 15 mins by boat which may be too far for some people. May also seem a bit overpriced (we paid some 144 eur for a room for two and two breakfasts).

We particularly liked the casual and relaxed atmosphere and attitude of the staff, the harbour at les Minimes, and some of the restaurants nearby, and also the clever design of our room, which though small was luxurious and had everything that we needed.
We liked everything really. The hotel is slightly out of the centre of La Rochelle, but the buses are very good, cheap and regular. Watch out though for weekday timetables as buses may not run late, particularly after the main holiday season in July/August.

The room was comfortable particularly the bed. The environment was quiet and it was near to restaurants.
The shelves in the bathroom were broken which gave little storage space. The breakfast was poor value.

It was clean and convenient with ground floof accommodation for my disabled partner.
I slipped in the shower as there was nothing to prevent a slip as the base was completely smooth. Ruined my holiday

Hotel lr is brand new and so has lots of modern conveniences and is a modern design. It was clean and comfortable.
Although Hoetel lr is very new and smart it is very much like a budget hotel with reception staff only available until about 8.00 P.M. and then you have to check yourself in. For the price - nearly 200 euros I was expecting something more traditional. The location was ok, but a little in the back and beyond, although not on an induustrial estate as some similar kinds of hotels. Despite all this I would probably stay there again and definitely is the price was more competative.

Clean and neat but quite Spartan-type.
Isn't worth these money. Fair 2-stars with minimum staff and expenses per client I've seen.

Seriously over priced. Rooms very small. No comfort Very basic. Breakfast very limited choice/quantity/quality. 15 minute walk into town which is o.k. Only 3/4 restaurants in the locality. Reception does not appear to be staffed after 21.00 hrs. Booked for 7 nights but only stayed 2.
